Ich war so bodenlos enttäuscht als am Maifeiertag 2025 am Ende zwei Kater in Lizzies Wurfkiste lagen und nicht das erhoffte Mädchen... 

Joe Fresh, das rote Katerchen, war schon lange vor der Geburt reserviert gewesen, doch für Jimmy gab es erstmal keine Interessenten. So hatte er Zeit sich zu entwickeln....und er wurde seiner Mama Liz und seinem Opa Fancy immer ähnlicher.

Mit der Zeit fanden all seine jüngeren Halbgeschwister neue Familien, nur Jimmy blieb übrig. Den einen war er zu hell, den anderen schon zu groß, dann hatte er zuviel weiß und unzählige Male sollte er als Einzelkatze leben, was für uns einfach nicht in Frage kommt!

Irgendwann war ich dann zum Einen rettungslos verliebt und hatte zum Anderen einfach keinen Nerv mehr und beschloss - er bleibt.

Jimmy ist mit sieben Monaten bereits so groß wie seine Eltern, weshalb ich die Hoffnung habe, dass Joanie bei ihm wieder durchschlagen wird. Er hat genau den Look, den ich liebe und den ich wieder in unserer Zucht verankern möchte. Was ich zunächst für Silber hielt, ist ein extrem warmes Blacktabby und der hohe Weißanteil ist sowieso ganz nach meinem Geschmack.

Wir sind gespannt auf seine weitere Entwicklung und freuen uns sehr, dass er bei uns bleibt <3

I was so incredibly disappointed when there were two male kittens in Lizzie's box instead of the hoped-for girl...

Joe Fresh, the red kitten, had been booked long before his birth, but there were no interested parties for Jimmy at first.

So he had time to develop... and he became more and more like his mother Liz and his grandfather Fancy.

Over time, all his younger half-siblings found new families, only Jimmy remained. Some thought he was too light-colored, others thought he was already too big, then there was the question of him having too much white, and countless times he was supposed to live as an only cat, which is simply out of the question for us!

At some point, I was hopelessly in love with him, but I also just couldn't take it anymore, so I decided – he's staying.

At seven months old, Jimmy is already as big as his parents, which is why I'm hopeful that Joanie's traits will shine through in him. He has exactly the look I love and that I want to introduce more again into our breeding program. What I initially thought was silver is actually an extremely warm black tabby, and the high amount of white is exactly to my liking.

We're excited to see how he develops and are very happy that he's staying with us.
